[Accountability for Crimes Against Humanity] Online Workshop: North Korea's Crimes Against Humanity and the Global Supply Chain The Citizens' Coalition for North Korean Human Rights supports international advocacy efforts to establish accountability for crimes against humanity linked to North Korea's supply chains and international trade, and continuously conducts various campaigns and advocacy activities toward this end. On April 16, 2025, Joanna Hossany, Deputy Director of the North Korean Human Rights Citizens' Coalition, was invited as the main speaker at an online workshop hosted by the UC Berkeley LiNK chapter. She delivered a lecture on how the global supply chains for wigs and artificial eyelashes are connected to the crimes against humanity perpetrated against women in North Korean detention facilities. Deputy Director Hosanyan explained the recent crisis facing the North Korean human rights movement due to sudden budget cuts by the Trump administration, emphasizing the critical importance of sustained global youth interest and participation to resolve North Korean human rights issues.
